COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS
Constantly adapting to market changes...
For many years, SIT mass transaction exchanges between the Agence des Banques and SIT indirect partipants have been handled through ETEBAC 3, ETEBAC 5 or Pe SIT hors SIT communication protocols, according to the configuration chosen by customer banks. These transactions were generally routed through Numeris, Transpac or RTSC networks.
Société Générale enriched the technical offer proposed to its customer banks, in order to provide them with a better flexibility.
In order to take advantage of technological changes and to satisfy the new demands of its customers, Société Générale Agence des Banques is presently developped its ability to exchange files via Swift FILEACT and FTP protocols.
Swift FILEACT : this new SWIFT service is used by the main Banks and performed via SWIFTNET. FILEACT allows exchanges of any type of files and formats on Swift network, and particularly SIT and SEPA (XML) formats files to be exchanged on mass clearing system.
Such technology has already proven its reliability, and is used by some of Société Générale’s largest corporate customers to transmit their payments and get their reporting flows.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) : this exchange protocol, active for many years, is well adapted to secured file exchanges on the Internet network.
FTP protocol also permits sending and reception of SIT and SEPA (XML) formats.
