Even though we can now speak of a unified Europe, it is still financially multiple and diversified. Rather than having to maintain accounts in each European country for each currency, Société Générale offers a solution for check collection all over Europe from a single point in Paris with International Sogexpress.
TRANSEUROPEAN
You can entrust Société Générale for the collection of your checks in local currency, in euro or in other major currencies under the cash-letter procedure ("subject to final payment"), in the following countries : Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In addition, checks to be collected in other countries, notably in Eastern Europe, may be cashed under the "credit after collection" procedure.
This service includes also North America and Canada.
SPEED/FLEXIBILITY
Thanks to its worldwide network and numerous correspondents, Société Générale allows you to benefit from the best conditions it has negotiated with its European partners. Remittances are sent to our International Operations Center which credits your accounts within short notice.
TIMELY AND PRECISE REPORTING
Advice of payment : SWIFT MT450 messages are automatically sent for each remittance and indicate the deposit ticket references and the applicable value date. Account statement references : deposit ticket references appear on the daily SWIFT MT950 messages for easy reconciliation. Unpaid items : Unpaid items are advised by SWIFT MT456.

Our dedicated staff, under the supervision of each Account Officer in our operations department, perform appropriate controls and provide accurate tracking at every stage of the processing.

FLEXIBILITY
Eligible items : All checks payable in France (upon special agreement, in almost all European countries), whether commercial checks or traveler's checks, denominated in euro or foreign currencies. For items denominated in our correspondent's own currency, we may accept ,subject to special arrangement, a direct debit of our Nostro account.
Type of collection : Cash letter remittances are normally processed for immediate credit subject to final collection. We can also offer credit after final collection should there be a credit concern.
Remittance procedure : Clients may use their own forms for check remittances.
SPEED
Courier service : Depending on volume and country, pick-up can be arranged in the client's own country.
Availability of funds : Our automated processing facilities ensure the fastest presentation of remittances to the clearing house and, subsequently, the fastest availability of funds. Non euro checks are collected on a credit after final payments basis.
Return of unpaid items : We guarantee unpaid items will be returned within a maximum delay of 20 business days.
